Peneleh Activists’ Congress II Produces Cultural Recommendations Submitted to Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon

Malang, February 16, 2025 – The Kongres II Aktivis Peneleh Jang Oetama (APJO) has successfully taken place from February 13-16, 2025, in Malang, East Java. This congress resulted in a series of cultural recommendations submitted directly to the Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon.

The Chairman of the Congress Committee, Yusril Hidayatullah, emphasized that this event aimed to map out the revival of Nusantara culture and formulate strategic steps for Indonesia’s educational progress. “We want this congress to be a platform where the nation’s best young minds can contribute constructive ideas for Indonesia’s future,” said Yusril.

During the congress, activists discussed various issues related to preserving local cultural heritage and integrating cultural values into modern life. Education was also a primary focus, with the hope of producing concrete recommendations to improve Indonesia’s education sector.

Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, who personally received the recommendations, expressed his appreciation for the activists’ initiative. He stressed the importance of youth involvement in preserving and developing Indonesian culture. “Culture is a crucial element in shaping character and serves as a nation’s unique identity. Without culture, we have no identity,” stated Fadli Zon.

The Kongres II APJO was attended by more than 1,000 participants from various regions across Indonesia. The event featured seminars, panel discussions, and plenary sessions that formulated action recommendations for the government. Malang was chosen as the host city due to its strong academic and cultural atmosphere, fostering creative and constructive thinking.

With this congress, it is hoped that collaboration between activists, the government, and society will be strengthened to achieve the revival of Nusantara culture and enhance the quality of education in Indonesia.
